Cost of donor sperm treatment

 

The costs for providing, purchasing and shipping donor sperm samples from the Erlanger Samenbank are as follows:

• per donor sperm sample (sufficient for one insemination or one IVF/ICSI treatment)
  700 Euro
• Shipping costs (per shipment; a maximum of 3 sperm samples can be ordered at the same time)
  150 Euro plus Value Added Tax

After the occurrence of a clinically confirmed pregnancy, an unlimited number of samples from the same donor – if available – can be reordered. The maximum number of sperm samples that may be owned by a donor is three, including any samples that may still be in storage from a previous treatment.

There are additional costs for:

• Storage costs for the donor sperm at the treating clinic
• Medical treatment costs for the woman (approx. 200 – 400 Euro per treatment cycle for AID, approx. 2000 – 4000 Euro per treatment cycle for IVF/ICSI)
